A Guide To Embroidered Shirt Sizing and Placement

Ordering a custom embroidered shirt can sometimes be overwhelming. One of the most difficult aspects is knowing the specifications required for your custom logo and understanding how your design will be embroidered onto a shirt. EagleDigitizing will give you some tips and tricks and  discuss our ability to produce custom embroidered shirts, our placement options, as well as maximum size sizes and a few other tips. I think you will find this information will help your experience ordering custom embroidered shirts online much easier.

Placement

Our most popular location for shirt embroidery is the left chest. It's a timeless option that always looks great. The largest design our left chest hoop will accommodate is approximately a 4.5" x 4.5" circle. Since our hoop is round, we can only accommodate square designs with a width and height of up to 3 inches in the left chest position.

Another popular spot is on either sleeve. For sleeve position, the maximum length is 3.5 inches in width or height. The hoops for the sleeves are also round, so the square design needs to be a little smaller. Usually sleeve logos have fewer than 12,500 stitches, but there are some exceptions. As a general rule, the height of the text should not be less than 3/16 of an inch.

Other popular spots include the right chest, the back yoke (just below the collar), the front center, and the entire back. Pay special attention to the estimated thread count for the front center and rear locations, as these are the largest designs we sew. Sometimes these locations may exceed the thread count limit.

We always offer free embroidery at both locations when you order at least 24 or more. In our opinion, embroidery in two locations can really help you get your embroidered shirt noticed. We will provide free embroidery at one location if you order at least 12 pieces.

Hopefully this posting has given you some tips and tricks for your next online ordering of custom embroidered shirts. Keep this information in mind for the next time you order custom embroidery online, I think you will have a better and easier experience.
