The best way to make your hat stand
out from the rest of hats is to add an embroidery design. It's easy to get
bored with your design after a while, but you can remove the digitizing embroidery logo if this is
you!
How do you remove digitizing embroidery
logo from a hat?
You first need to know whether the
embroidery on the hat is machine or hand sewn. Assemble your tools and turn
your hat inside out.
Bring the stitch eraser over the machine-sewn
embroidery and cut off the spools of thread on the embroidery. Turn the hat to
the right and wipe away the threads of the embroidery.
Method 1 Remove Machine Embroidery
From Hat
Step 1. Provides the right tool for
the different types of embroidery you want to remove. For machine-sewn
embroidery, you'll need a stitch eraser as your primary tool for removing
embroidery.
Step 2. Turn your hat over. This
exposes the best cut part of the embroidery design to ensure your embroidery
comes off easily without damaging your hat
Step 3. Wear the hat on your hand with
the inside exposed, creating a stable base for the hat. This provides a stable
and secure workspace to ensure you get the stitches right and remove embroidery
with ease.
Step 4. Look for the bobbin stitches
that hold the embroidery to the hat. Turn on the stitch eraser and align it
directly over the bobbin stitches. Choose your starting point and cut the
bobbin stitches on that part of the embroidery.
Step 5. Turn the hat to the right. On
the embroidery design portion of the spool stitch you just cut, pull out the
embroidery floss. If you can't do it with your bare hands, you can grab the
thread with a pair of tweezers. If this happens, you can continue.
Step 6. Turn the cap over and repeat
the bobbin stitch cutting process with a stitch eraser. This time, cut all the
thread from the remainder of the embroidery design.
Step 7. When finished, turn the hat
right side up. Use tweezers to pull the remaining embroidery floss from the hat.
If any threads are difficult to pull, turn the cap over and verify that the
stitches have been cut correctly. If not, snip them off, turn the hat and keep
pulling the embroidery floss off with the tweezers.
Step 8. When you have removed the last
embroidery design threads, if there are any remaining threads, you can use a
lint roller to remove them from the hat. You have now removed all embroidery
from the hat.
Method 2. Remove the hand-stitched
embroidery from the hat
Step 1. The process for removing
hand-sewn embroidery from hats is the same as removing machine-sewn embroidery.
The only difference in the removal process is the tool you will use for the
removal. For this type of embroidery, you will need a seam remover.
Step 2. Turn your hat over to reveal
the pins used to hold the embroidery on the hat. This is to make sure you can
clearly see the stitches you are going to cut.
Step 3. Take the hat in your hand.
This helps give you the stability you need to cut through the embroidery
stitches on the hat.
Step 4. Take your seam ripper, place
it under a few stitches, pull up and cut the stitches. Seam rippers are more
manual than battery-operated stitch erasers. So when you use a seam ripper, it
takes longer and more physical strength to cut through the seam.
Step 5. From the starting point where
you choose to cut the stitches, check your progress on the right side of the
hat. Turn the hat around and pull off the thread on the embroidery. Use
tweezers to pull the embroidery thread off the hat. If the threads don't come
out easily, come back and check that the threads are all the way through and
cut them off.
Step 6. Turn your hat and continue
cutting the thread for the rest of the embroidery design.
Step 7. After the thread is cut, turn
the hat back to the right side. Pull the embroidery thread until the embroidery
on the hat is clear.
Step 8. When removing the embroidery
design, you will find a pinhole in the hat. You can iron the hat to cover the
holes or put different embroidery designs on the hat.
Method 3. Use pruning scissors to
remove the embroidery from the hat
Step 1. You will need sharp pruning
scissors to remove the embroidery from the cap. They work almost the same way
as seam rippers.
Step 2. Turn the hat over to reveal the
stitches that need to be cut to remove the embroidery from the hat. It gives
you a clear view of the embroidery surface that is stitched to the hat.
Step 3. Pick one side of the scissors
and insert it under the bobbin stitch from your chosen embroidery start point.
Cut out those threads and the entire part of the embroidery design that the
scissors can reach.
Step 4. With the cap facing right up,
pull the thread of the embroidery design. You can do this with your fingers, or
use tweezers for embroidery floss that isn't easy to remove. Also, check that
the stitching on the embroidery design is completely cut for easy removal.
Step 5. Repeat this process with the
remaining embroidery designs on the hat. Use tweezers to pull off the
embroidery design, if you can't do it by hand.
Step 6. If embroidery thread is still
hanging from your hat, you can use a fluff roller to remove the thread from the
hat.
Why remove embroidery?
There are many reasons why people want
to remove embroidery from clothing. Embroidery is done to make clothes more
attractive.
First, if the embroiderer makes a
mistake while embroidering, the embroidery can be removed. Then correct the
mistake with a similar embroidery design.
You can also remove the embroidery if
you're bored with it. The embroidery you want to remove can be a team or
company logo.
You may no longer work for the
company, but you want to keep wearing embroidered clothes. You can quickly
